Ilse Jacobsen Rub 1 for High Arches

A few weeks ago a woman came into Amé Amé and said she never owned rainboots before because she had a tough time getting into boots because of her high arches.

I suggested she try on our tall lace up Ilse Jacobsen Rub 1 rubber rainboots in Army Green and of course she found them to be perfect

Amaort Rainboots

A rainboot from Japan that only seems to be found at the UK store Mr. Shoes and asked about by an Italian customer who came into Amé Amé - we’re intrigued!

We love the cheerful candy colors as well.

We just would love to give a try of the soles before we go carrying them.

The boots look very similar to the Japanese Da Ichi Fisherman boots which we have carried in the past.

We brought these boots in after discovering them at Loopy Mango, who took this great photo.

However we now have Aigle’s Rubber Pack Boots

Aigle's new Rubber Packs. Foldable rain boots with a solid sole. Not at Amé Amés East Village store and AmeRain.com

Aigle boots have a firmer sole and I personally found that the Daichi boots became a little uncomfortable to wear a long time because they lacked very little arch support.

However, I have heard from others that they love their Dai Ichi boots, so I just might have odd feet and maybe the Amaorts will be the next set of folding rain boots we bring into our East Village rain gear and candy store.
